Default X3 - Reunion

Well, anyone who has played X2 - The Threat will know the game is great. However, for those who have not kept track, X3 - Reunion is being released on the 28th (Tomarrow) and will begin shipping.

It has already been shipped in some Countries such as the UK. So grab your copy while you can, amazon has it up for $39.99 USD

I have pre-ordered my copy a while back and look forward to playing it, unfortunately, I was unable to find a "DVD" copy here in the US. Most places that had advertised the DVD version were in fact the CD-Rom version. There will be DVD versions available however later on, I will just tuff it out with my 7 CD set on CD-Rom :P

You can order it from other places such as UK in order to ensure you get a DVD copy, but it will take a little longer to ship., Local game stores can usually reserve the copy of your choice.

I have x2 but never got round to playing it. I did the training missions but thats it.

X3 looks stunning, maybe I should go through x2 first. I just found it a bit of a daunting prospect.

I love babylon 5 though, and the new shots look just like being in that!.

What a month for pc games, Fear, quake, x3, b & w 2. Call of duty 2 is just around the corner too.

Just awsome, but not good for my sleep or work.

Console version might be the go, I have always found these type of "simulation" games much easier to tackle on a console, but usually the console does not take full advantage of the graphics, as the settings are only maxed out to what the console can handle, I'm sure the PC version will be able to have much better graphics if your system is capable of supporting them. I just couldn't see X-Box handling those graphics, look at Half Life 2 X-Box screenshots I swear they are not as detailed as the PC ones.

aye, I don't play console for that reason, honestly to me it seems like a huge waste considering consoles now days are basically a PC, hard drives, ect..

well, my wife plays N64, but that is just because she likes some of them Mario games lol.

But yea, Console can be easier for some games to control, however, with the ammount of options in X2/X3 I find it may be easier on PC. If you have a gamepad, such as a dual analog, ect.. then it will be much easier on PC, X2 I know takes full advantage of a controller without having to configure it. Default settings are what I use in X2, even though most games I customize my layout, I found that the devs did a pretty good job making the layout of kb and controller commands pretty universal and easy for everyone.

X2 when you first play, it is a bit confusing as to what to do, well, more like a bit intimidated with the ammount of things and options, but after you play an hour or so you start getting the hang of everything pretty quick, once you learn the quickkeys and such, the game becomes unbelievably enjoyable.

For the other guy above, finish the X2 Story line!! It is very very short, but I wont spoil it for you, its worth doing,

After you finish the story line, your free to do as you please, build stations ect.. But you do not have to do the story line, right from the start you can run off with the new ship they gave you and make your own living in X2

Anyhow, I finally found me a DVD version of the game, cancelled my old pre-order and re-ordered the version on DVD. !! \yay/ lol I will get it a little later than I would have, but I feel it is worth it considering it will be 1 or 2 DVD's instead of 7 CD-Roms !

Wish it would get here already, I have been looking forward to this game since it was announced in development a long long time ago :P:P:P

Required DivX 6, this is a .divx video.

Just a small sample video of X2, i'll try to remember to post some up of X3 when I get it (if im not to busy playing lol :P)

I got my pc in January this year, I swear since then I havent had my x box on once.

I've got about 35 games for it, it just sits under my tv.

The pc is just way ahead. And yeas, halflife looks dreadful on it.

Really should sell the X box.

Also, im not that impressed with what i have seen of the xbox 360. Its nowhere near the leap there was between the last generation of consoles.

Ps3 looks better, though all they seem to show are rendered movies and not in game.

Think ill just get a better graphics card later on.

Yeah couldn't agree more, although all the new generation consoles are due out very soon, I think they could have done better, as generally, these consoles stay out for 3, 4 and even 5 years, in that time frame the PC is light years ahead in terms of graphics and processor performance.
