All of the games require an online activation, at which point, a disc is no longer needed. ArmA v1.14 removes the CD-check, but still verifies about a legit serial number. If a generated CD-key is found the infamous FADE will kick in. Bypassing the CD-key check is considered illegal, so questions about how to bypass that will not be allowed. Other games have a protection tied to Steam which is considered another sort of online activation.

Any posts/threads related to these topics will be closed and/or deleted. The list will be updated with the games that are using SecuRom online and various forms of online activation.

So these games, essentially, require a person to connect to the distributors online server to verify their copy of the game?

Imagine the disappointment of someone who just wasted 50 bucks for a game they can't play because they have no Internet.

This is why the Internet needs to be government subsidized.

I'm gonna close this thread, as this was created just as a source of information. You can make a new thread for discussing today's DRM on games, but this will stay just as an information source. That way people will know two things: there will not be any crack posted on their favorite backup sites and the games act like a rental.

I'll add a warning for anyone that will asks for cracks for the games mentioned in not allowed list: you will get a temporary ban. Also if people are doing more accounts just to push the same question about those cracks over and over again, they'll get a perma ban.
