securom loaders and SPTD Layers

hey all.

I have just heard about how you can take your originals and backup...or as I want to do - make a fake dvd drive on my laptop for when I work abroad to save me taking some more disks!!...

I downloaded daemon tools and something called procyon securom loader v7.26.

Got some questions tho.

1. what is the best securom loader to use?
2. Or is there something that is beter to use than a securom loader?
3. What is meant by the SPTD Layers?
4. Do I need these as well as daemon tools and the loader??

Not sure if it matters what games...some of my games (like dawn of war) work with online play without a disk...but warcraft 3 and some others I play need a disk in, and I dont like to use no cd exe files for patching purposes etc etc

1: Depends, YASU and ProcYon are both good. Whichever works for you.
2. Your real DVD, not being sarcastic either
3. SPTD Layer are drivers, and yes they are required for Daemon-Tools to work.
4. Yes, Daemon-Tools wont run without them installed.
