I downloaded the latest version 1.10, and it works without the CD, which is great but the problem is that I can not play over the internet cause it says that the host has an updated patch or something like that, anyone know what the problem is?

It could be that the host is using a lesser version than yours, and also could be, but I am unsure as I do not own this game, the game may have a file size check that checks the size ofd the executable, if it is smaller or larger (does not match the original patched version) then the game will not launch, but I am unsure on this?

You may need to copy back the original exe and update again and play from the CD to play multiplayer.
