Zero hour no cd Help!

Newb question, on most files i just check the dll file to see the version number, on this game Command and conquer Zero Hour I can't find the version? I tried v1.0 then I get a technical error message when I boot the game. Also does the Zero hour file have to be joined with the Command and conquer Generals file to work? Thanks for any help in getting this working.

You an see the version for the game in the game in option menu,it should be in the bottom corner or without going into the game the patch txt type file should tell you.Yes zero hour needs to Generls installed to run.

I have a "Patch32.dll" file that say's 6.3.0.0 but no patchtxt file.

I have the generals installed and it works fine, installed the zerohour cd and trying to install a no cd fix just don't know which one to use?

I have done them a couple times before for other games and they worked fine, I am a newb at this so maybe I am doing something wrong. If anybody can walk me through this that would be great! Thanks for any help.
