A problem with football manager 08

When I open the game the regular slides come up (owner rights, creators..) and after all the slides the game get stuck on a black screen.
And it gets stuck when I click on one of the slides too.

are you using a no-cd fix\cd image or the original cd sometimes they are problems when using a no-cd fix or cd image

I'm using no-cd fix.
So what should I do?

firstly run the game from the orginial cd\dvd and see if the same problems occur you mite need to undo the no-cd\dvd patch and check the no-cd\dvd patch version matches the game version as they mite be a problem with the no-cd\dvd patch also make sure you got the latest version of DirectX 9 (nov release) and the latest version of your graphic and sound card drivers help too
