Hi,
Now I don't know wether people have this game. Its called 'Atrox' and I want to play multiplayer LAN within it but I seem to be having some difficulties. When we click the Multiplayer tab, an option pops-up saying that wether we want to use IPX or TCP/IP. I click TCP/IP and then I create a new game. When everything is set and the game is ready, my bro attempts to join. Now here's the problem. The options are: CREATE OKAY CANCEL EXIT My bro types the server name and clicks the OKAY tab but after a few seconds, an error comes saying "Cannot connect to the host". I don't know what's wrong. I've disabled all fire-walls, checked the manual, have visited the official site for help but no luck ![]() If anyone knows what's wrong or if I might need a patch, I'd really appreciate it. Thanx for the help! -Rydium-41 |

Try IPX,
Also in order to find the game on LAN, be sure your both using the same Work Group name. (Control Panel > System >) On the "Computer Name" tab, down at the bottom, click change, then at the bottom of the new screen you will see a round (radio) checkbox. Make sure it is clicked and be sure any computers on the LAN are using the same name in that box (can be anything you want) TCP/IP is mainly used for connections over the net, while it still should work, I would go with IPX for LAN. One last thing, Goto Start Menu > Network Connections Right click the Connection on each PC and choose Properties. Make sure you have the IPX Protocol Installed! If you do not see IPX in the list, then click the Install Button on that dialog Select "Protocol" and click Add then select IPX .. Compatible from the list and click OK. It may tell you you will have to reboot afterwards, So exit (ok) from all the open dialogs and then do a quick reboot. You should then be able to play using IPX. // Regards, Crypton |
