Legacy Of kain defiance

Got a question
I just finished installing the pc version of Legacy of kain defiance. Running it from an Iso using daemon tools. I tried putting the no cd patch that came with it in the same floder and when i do and try to run the game it says fatal error uncompatable garphics card or something like that and it won't run without the patch either keeps telling me wrong cd please insert legacy of kain cd 1
