Need help runninng my burned version of Halo

Okay I made a copy of Halo about a couple year ago. But just now when trying to install the burned copy of the game, everything installs fine. The game runs, but when I go to play online, it asks me to update it,so it downloads the update. It then installs it but when I try to run the game now it doesn't work, it's telling me to put the game into the computer and try again. How do I get past this, and with which file?

you cant use the copy to play online.

There is a way, look for private server patches.

What you mean u can not use copy to play the game? I have alcohol image mounted (its the full cd image, not a mini-image) on virtual drive and it has been working for all of the game patches for multiplayer. Should not be a problem.
