Need Help With A NoCD Crack Please!
Hi, I am completely computer illiterate and am having trouble trying to play an old game on my computer. I Used to love the King's Quest Series (sorry I think I am allowed to mention the games name? Sorry If im not) and discovered that I still have a couple of the Sierra games on my computer. Unfortunatly, I have lost all the original cd's. I have been looking online for help, and downloaded a file called Crack.exe which is specifically for the Game (king's Quest 8) that I am trying to play, but I cant figure out how to use it. It just keeps asking me for the CD...
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much -Alexandra |

Chances are the file you downloaded is a patcher, you need to extract it to the games folder/directory (where you installed the game) then running the patch from there to remove the CD Check.

copy the Crack.exe file into the installation directory of the game (where the Game's launch icon should be...the launch icon should have a special picture of a king or whatever..and so should the crack.exe). You will get a message saying "Do you want to replace 'KingsQuest.exe' with 'Crack.exe' ?".
Click Yes. Then double click Crack.exe and the game should play. Good luck. ;-) |

If it's a patcher, don't replace the original exe (chances are you won't be able to, as a patcher will never be named the same as the games exe file it is meant to patch).
