Breath of Fire 4(PC version)

Does anyone know how to use the "select" button in the pc version of BOF4?
I've looked everywhere, there is NO "select" button and no way to add one, which is necessary to progress in the game. Please help.

Ya, I cannot remember which key it was, but as Nitrous said I think it was the spacebar or enter button.
