MAXI MINI BACKUP IMAGE issue
Hello Guys,
I have downloaded a LORD OF THE RINGS: BATTLE FOR MIDDLE EARTH 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] MAXI MINI BACKUP IMAGE (5.45MB) from gameburnworld . It is a RAR file, when i extract the mini backup image it has a size over 5,3GB. How can I extract it to get a normal size about 5,5 MB or the name Maxi means it will be a large file? Thanks in advance |

You can resize it after extraction doing the following:
Select the files that you got out from archive (all of them), right click, go to advanced and select compress contents to save data. the files will get back to the size they were in archive and you can recover the space. Maxi-mini image means a image that after it's out of archive, it will have the size of the normal DVD, to fool some extra protections that are included in the game. That doesn't mean they are the full game. They act just like the mini-images. Those maxi - mini images were done back when alcohol 120% couldn't fool some protections. As some games still have custom protections (LOTR:BFME 1 and 2 for examples, but there are still a few more games), those maxi-mini images are still around, being the only possibility to play online some titles and not keeping the CD/DVD in drive, provided that you have the original CD/DVD key. |

Hi wolfsrain,
thanks a lot for your advice, it worked. I really appreciate your help. I never thought about such solution. You have saved a 5GB of free disk space on my HDD Thanks. |
