Post Nancy Drew / [Secrets Can Kill] no cd request

I've own this game for a couple of years now and out of the whole series, this one gives me a load of problems... First off, it contains a second disc
that has absolutely no function what-so-ever...[at least none that I discovered]! With most of the other titles in this series, if you drag and drop the complete game from the cd and/or dvd to a certain directory on your hard drive and install it from there, the installation writes the path in the game's .ini file of the cd-rom, which happens to be, the directory you have installed the game from and no [no cd fix] is needed! I don't know what the h_ll they were thinking of when they made "Secrets Can Kill"...! If any one out there can direct me to find a fix for this issue, I sure would appreciate it.
Need no-cd fix for Nancy Drew: "Secrets Can Kill", Version DPV 1.0

Thank you....

Huh... I can't help you with the No-CD fix right now, I'd look for one but I'm off to bed, but I had a laugh at your "what the h_ll they were thinking of". What they did is called Copy Protection, you know, the reason we need no-cd fixes. It seems you weren't the only one using that method, so once they found out, they decided to use copy protection.

Sorry if my post sounds ironic, it wasn't meant to be. Just what came to mind.

I hope someone's awake and can help you.

What is ironic is that this was used in one of their earliest versions not in the most recent ones... it's easier to work with the new ones than it is with this particular one which happenes to be one their first versions!!! Go laugh that one off!!!!
