Honestly, hacked games and things are unlikely to work online, but an old game like that, try updating to the latest update and get a crack for that version,

But if AOE still uses GameSpy or MSN gaming, there is no online anymore, simple as that

I have had luck with Borderlands' online, it actually works lmao, but that's because there are no servers, and the Dev's thought it was secure with SECUrom, but nothing is ever secure.
