Try updating the videodrivers, the sound drivers, etc. I've seen a lot of beta drivers released in the last two months just for the new games. Hell with it! They released a driver so that you would be able to play Crysis. It's like no one thought that they should work for the latest released driver. So Nvidia and ATI it's just writting bad drivers over the already bad drivers just to let people to be able to see the damned games. Hopefully a stable release will come out next month when this madness will end.
November seems to be busier than ever as the amount of interesting releases is skyrocketting.
The month it's not at the end and there are still quite a few titles to be released(NFS Pro Street, UT3, Sim City Societies, Juiced2:HIN, SOF:Payback, Kane&Lynch: Dead Men, Guitar Hero3, Sudden Strike3 and Theatre of War).
As for December, there are only two interesting titles: Galactic Civilizations2-Twilight of Arnor and Universe at War-Earth Assault.
Seems like everyone decided to make a launch in November and forget about holiday releases.
