Decent: Freespace 1 & 2 No Cd?

Hi,

Does anyone know of the existance of a No CD for the 1.06 version of Decent: Freespace and a 1.02 English version of Freespace 2? I don't want to use the disc to much as the game is impossible to get hold of these days and only the latest patch versions work on XP and Vista.

Or could someone recommend a work around to not require the CD?

Use Clone CD or Alcohol 120% to create a 1/1 copy of the discs. Grab Daemon Tools Lite and play with the images mounted in Daemon Tools. Space consuming, but better than the alternative (aka losing your CDs).
The games are too old, so it's not likely to see a crack for them.
