Cossacks EW No CD Crack problem

Okay, I just downloaded the file from the site, but I don't know how to use it. I installed Cossacks, then replaced the required files, but the screen just b;acled out when I tried to play and the game didnt work. I tried reading the .nfo but it's in german, since the cracks for eng/german version. Any jhelp would be nice. Thanks.

backup the old exe (rename to .bak or something) than put the cracked exe in its place than run from the cracked exe
