The Sims 2 problem

I followed the above Sims 2 thread exactly, but when i go to play the game, the "The Sims 2" graphic comes up but the it flashes away

then the windows xp error message comes up "the sims 2 has made an erroe and needs to close." send/dont send

am i doing anything wrong?

What method are you using? Are you mounting with Daemon Tools?
