sims 2 help

ok i got the sims 2 installed and i got the crack...but when i try and run the game a tiny box that says sims 2 at the top...and inside the box is jsut a big white x with a red circle around it...and no message...help me with this

Do you use the Money crack? That one should work well... Also there are a few working mini-images.
