BFME2 patch 1.08 no cd mismatch error

I am encountering an error when attempting to connect to an online game running the same game version as me using game ranger. When I try to join the host's game from the in game lobby after game ranger launches it says I have a different version of the game even though we are both using patch 1.08 and have no different files. Please help this is making me grumpy. :mad:

Are you using original files or No-CD ones?
Try reinstalling the game and then updating to v1.08.
