One: do not open multiple threads on the same subject.
Two: does the game crash to desktop with the original exe, too?

See if your PC meets the system requirements recommended by the game. If it does, update your video card drivers, Direct X and the sound card drivers.

Sound and video drivers either are not to their latest version, either the version it's way beyond of what the game can recognize. Also I've checked the supported video cards list:

Battlefield 2 only supports the following video cards:
(minimum 128MB)

Radeon X700 (PCIe)
Radeon X600 (PCIe)
GeForce 6600 (PCIe)
GeForce PCX 5900 (PCIe)
GeForce 5800 Series (AGP)
ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition
ATI Radeon X800 PRO
ATI Radeon 9800 Series
ATI Radeon 9600 Series
ATI Radeon 9550 (RV350LX)
ATI Radeon 9500 / 9700 Series
ATI Radeon 8500 Series
ATI Radeon X300 Series
NVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
NVidia GeForce 6800 GT
NVidia GeForce 6800
NVidia GeForce FX 5950 Series
NVidia GeForce FX 5900 Series
NVidia GeForce FX 5700 Series

As you can see, none of the integrated video cards on that list.
No Intel, no Matrox, no Nvidia go or ATI Mobile, no S3. If you are on a laptop you won't be able to upgrade.
If you are on a desktop computer, then you can see the motherboards specs and get yourself an expansion video card. ATI has rock bottom prices for its ATI 4770 and ATI 4870. Something between 100$ and 110 $ for the 4770 model and between 120$ and 140 $ fro the 4870 model.

P.S. BF2 works fine for the more modern ATI and Nvidia video cards. Still not working on the integrated video cards

Same problem... System is running GFX card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. I assume this is the problem since this card is not on the previous compatible list....

newbie1980 13-08-2009 02:21 AM

I did the EAsy info and my video card passed. It says my OS fails though. I am running Vista. Any ideas?

Try running the game in XP compatibility mode.
