The sims pet stories

Hello,whenever i tried to load my game a pop up appears and says the game is already running,but i cant find it.It did work a couple of hours ago and i've tried restarting . :confused: Any help would be greatly appreciated,i searched the forum but couldn't find an answer.If there is another thread,please post a link. Thank you in advance for your help.:)

You may be accidently launching the game twice?
