F.E.A:R Patch 1.02

Hi, one question to this patch.
Its a a public server patch, that means when i update my fear 1.01 to v. 1.02
i cant play the single player, because there is no 1.02 patch for singler player modus????

? I play single player on 1.02, why would they release a patch that makes it not run on 1.02 in singleplayer? would not make sense
