Hi, I've received a number of private messages on different forums where junior members are allowed to send private messages having 0 posts. Messages all look alike, here's a copy of what I received here (important parts in bold):

Important message from the forum administration!
Dear, Lilmbickdic;privettutja;Shinigami;ReitleCew;NormaL ib!

Spam sending from your computer was detected.
We highly recommend you to check your computer and perform online virus check at our site immediately: [link removed because of 15 post limit]
If you do not pass this test* we will have to delete your account and forward a complaint to your ISP with attached log file (your IP address, etc.).

Please stop phishing attempts by adding a 20-post limit before junior members are allowed to start threads/send PMs. Or just ban phishing accounts.
Thank you.

Thanks for the information, originally we had the vbulletin script installed that limited PM sending until a post limit had been reached, when we updated VBulletin it had deleted the script and we were unaware of this, we will implement the script again, thanks for the heads up.
Private messaging has been disabled for the moment, in essence PM is hardly even used anyway, it will be enabled again when the issue is solved.
