Sacred issues

hi, ive installed sacred, with the 1.5 patch..
i created my character, the Gladiator.
after the loading when i choose my character, i see my char in a place, but suddently, the screen goes black..
what the hells the problem???

Are you using a No-CD patch of any kind? I do remember this being mentioned a while back, try doing a search (http://www.gamefileforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=32280)

yes, im using nocd crack version 1.5

Can you post some system specs, and what version drivers you are using.

Easiest, would be Start Menu > Run

Type in: msinfo32

then when it loads, goto File > Save

type in the name of the file to save, such as myinfo.nfo

Put into a zip file, then attach here to forums.

When you are posting, scroll down, you will see attachment manager, click it, and it will open a box, point to your file, click upload. When it finishes uploading, click close window, then post the new post.

Hi i am having the same probs as Doobie was, but you didn't post a solution to the problem. I have the original Sacred Gold dvd, but am using an Alcohol 120 image and Reloaded 1.0 NoCd Fixedexe Eng. My screen fades to black after choosing a character and about to start the game. I am running WinXP Home Edition with service pack 2, AMD Athlon 64 dual core 4200+, 2.21Ghz, 3Gb of Ram, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB. Any help greatly appreciated, one of my fav games.

have you tried playing with the original disk?? has it worked that way before on same comp

Sacred Gold exe it's not the same version as the Reloaded crack. So you try the wrong crack on the wrong version of the game. Remove that crack, use the original exe and see if your game kicks in.

The original disk does the same, goes black, i've played it before but i'm not sure if it was on my other pc before i upgraded to this one. Will it be a service pack 2 issue as my other pc didn't have this and if so is there any other way round it than reinstalling windows? Thanks for your help.

And can still use Alcohol 120 image file.

Update the game at the v2.28 (grab the patch from the Ascaron's site or from dlh.net). It removes the need for a disc in drive, as the copy protection was removed.
