Does the game run alright when you use the original DVD? It could be your system causing the error?

Hi buddy,
Load up the game, you will be in the main menu, click on Options, and then click on Settings.
You should see | Settings | On Foot | In Vehicle | As Pilot | Tab's.
The tab's to look at are:
On Foot
In Vehicle
As Pilot
I have some screenshots to use to compare with.

remove the 2 - beween the w's
If that still won't work, then you can try clicking on Reset ALL button on the right bottom corner.
If that still won't work, then I suggest to backup your singleplayer progress by doing the following
Vista / Win 7
Click on Start, click on Documents, Double click on BFBC2 folder.
Copy the GameSettings.bin file to another location (such as a Memory Stick).
Win XP
Press the Windows key + F (Windows key = the windows symbol) or click on start, click on search.
Type in GameSettings.bin.
Right click on the file in the results and select Open file loaction.
Copy the GameSettings.bin file to another location (Such as a Memory Stick).
Once you have the singleplayer progress, you can now do the following:
Click on Start, Control Panel, Remove a Program.
Find Battlefield Bad Company 2 in the list and click Uninstall link up the top.
Follow the on screen prompts.
Browse to the game path (default = C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts)
If there is a Battlefield Bad Company 2 folder still in there then delete it and then empty the recycle bin.
Insert the game DVD in the DVD drive and install the game.
Choose your verification process either on DVD disc or on Internet.
Run the game and allow it to update to the latest version.
Assuming you have baught the game
If you have Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta installed, then I recommend to uninstall it before you re-install the full copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2.
If this does not work I wouldn't have a clue what the problem is.
I really hope that this works for you.
