Would be pointless to post step by step for each person that comes to the forums.

That is what sticky posts are for.

The URL to the sticky must have changed, here's the correct one: http://www.gamefileforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=693 Your after the Mini Backup Image guide right?

I followed this guide/instructions with my games, IE; FEAR, Brothers in Arms, EIB, and Call of Duty 2. I made an image using Alcohol 120. then mounted it using Daemon Tools 4, but when I clicked on the original game Icon, I get "insert original CD, or emulation detected. SR7 stopped the "emulation detected' warning, but I still get "insert original CD"
Any idea why it's not working?

Another question, when installing the game for the first time, should it be run from the actual CD/DVD, or can it cause a problem if it is mounted and installed from the Alcohol 120 image?

Sr7 Stop does not work with DT4, use SecuROM Burner Loader

And, DONT enable any emulation in Daemon-Tools 4, it is not needed, it will automagically use what it needs.

What is, and where do I find Secure Rom Burner Loader?
Is that an option in Alcohol 120?
Thanks again for all your help.

Install the game from the original CD/DVD
Download the Mini Backup image from GameCopyWorld-link is,

http://www.gameburnworld.com/gp/gamefixes/starwarsbattlefront2.shtml

Run the Mini image, this will give you the 2 needed files.

antibalh.rar
blh-swb2.rar

Extract both files, I extract them to the folder the actual game is located, then I know where they are always at.

IE' "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\LaunchBFII.exe"

Now,
Find the Shortcut/Start SWBF3 Icon from when the game was loaded, (when loading the game, it gives you the option to place a shortcut on the desktop),

Right click on it, select Properties, then select the Compatability tab on the top. Check the compatability mode box, then use the drop down arrow and select Windows 2000. Apply and Save.

Run Daemon Tools, I have version 4
I didn't have to set any emulation, (but you may have to turn Securom on).
mount the "blh-swb2.MDS" in Daemon tools, found in the game folder from the downloaded MINI Disk.

Then, run the Antiblah_EN_on. (ENglish)
Close the window/box.
Run the game from your Shortcut/Start SWBF3 Icon.

When done, go to game folder and run Antiblah_EN_off.

This procedure worked for me.

Good luck,

PS; I don't know what, if any problems can happen if Antiblah_EN_off is not run when done playing the game.

I tried your way but still get "Please insert CD1"
Also tried the following way for Alcohol 120% that I found on another site
but get a message that says to insert the original CD

To get the game to work without the CD. I did the following.
Downloaded Alcohol 120 from
http://www.download.com/Alcohol-120-...=dl&tag=button
installed that, had to reboot.
put the BFII CD in and ran alcohol 120.
Clicked the link on the top left that says "image making wizard"
choose the dvd/cd drive with your game in it.
chose the DTM option and choose HIGH
click next choose a location and then burn the image. Then it should ask something about what DTM speed to read at, I choose Maximum.
after it is done, go to your daemon tools(v4) and have securerom and rmps turned on.
mount the newly made image.
DISABLE your other IDE cd/dvd rom drives.
(right click my computer choose properties, goto hardware tab, choose device manager, and right click on your cd-rom/dvd rom's that are real and choose disable, and hit ok)
you should be able to play your game now without the cd in the pc.
Let me know if that works for you guys, I dont think I left anything out so hope it works for ya

Not sure if this helps but am using DAEMON v4.0 and ALCOHOL120% v1.9.2
