F.E.A.R. backup

I tried making a copy of the play disk for FEAR but I couldn't run the game with it.

Can someone please post a link to a walk through of how to get around the copy-protection when backing up FEAR.

Enable RMPS in Alcohol 120%, insert the CD/DVD, If it is a standard Cd, select the SecuROM *NEW* Profile in Alcohol 120%, if it is a DVD, then you wont have the option of selecting type. Copy at a slow speed such as 4x,

After you finish making the Image, turn off RMPS in alcohol 120%,

Then follow the guide here to emulate it.

I too am trying to backup my copy of F.E.A.R but am unsure what to do after finished burning with 120% as the link is not working could someone please help

You cannot at this time play the game from a burned CD/DVD. You must make an image on your hard drive using Alcohol 120% and emulate it using Daemon-Tools. (in some cases you can emulate it using Alcohol 120% virtual drive system, but I prefer DT)
