I have a dvd backup of the game. I do not know if it has any protection. I tried to play the game via the tetris and its tdf but the game does not play by any means. when i double click the shortcut it comes with a message "Please insert the original DVD of Asterix..." and then exits. Does anybody know a way to play the game please help!!!!!

Have you tried using Virtual Hide CD along with the tdf ect.. ?
Mount the Image of the game to Daemon-Tools, Run Virtual Hide CD, right click the icon for it in the system tray, then choose hide all virtual drives, next mount the tdf file in TESTRIS, then see if you are able to play the game.

I have tried many things, i tried to hide the virtual drives via virtual cd or sr7.stop, nothing happend the same message appears. The thing is that at first i had the game into a dvd not as an image and i made plenty of unsuccesfull experiments with that. After that i made it an alcohol image and tried but nothing changed. The thing is that if i do not mount to the tetris then the message that i have to insert the dvd appears, which is the normal message that every game has. When i mount and run it seams that tetris has some activity(the tdf becomes active from inactive at tetris window) and although the game does not start then i receive another message with different font and color that sais "please insert original dvd...". Also i used protection id and a-ray to my backup and it did not show any protection. Please help me i am desperate. What have i done wrong? Is it a matter of the tdf that does not work ? or is the backup that i have not the appropriate one? or is it something else....:( Please help!!!

Sounds like the TDF file is for a different release of the game than the one you are using, possibly a different language or a multilanguage version.
