Well I got an answer from Lucasart about me not being able to run SWBF II and they told me that they think the problem has to do with some installed tool (eg. virtuak-cd hide?) blocking the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\MountedDevices registry key. And unblocking the registry key or deactivating the tool should allow me to run the game.

OK, so how do I do that?

It's the protection simply detecting that you have emulation tools installed on your PC, tools which you have every right to have, and that the protection blocks and interferes with. What tools have you installed on your PC apart from Virtual Hide?

Use Daemon-Tools, turn all emulation options on, then mount the image, next, use AntiBlah and enable it by double clicking the antiblah_EN_on

After that, use Sr7 Stop and click hide, leave Sr7 Stop open however, dont close it.

See if that helps. You can get them tools mentioned above at the link below.

Do you have clone CD installed, or do you have "hide CD-R media type" enabled in CloneCD or alcohol 120%?

You must not have those options enabled for cloneCD Tray as well as Alcohol 120%.

Alcohol 120%

Start Alcohol and go to the Emulation Options.
Select "Emulation" from the options tree. Uncheck the "Ignore Media
Types" box to turn off the media type emulation.
Select "Extra Emulation" from the options tree. Uncheck the "BAD Sectors
Emulation" to turn off this type of emulation, exit Alcohol 120% and
restart the game.

CloneCD

Look on your task bar at the bottom right of your screen (next to the
clock). Locate the CloneCD tray icon, which can be a picture of two
CD-ROMs or of a sheep’s head. Right Click on the icon and make sure
"Hide CD-R media" is un-ticked. Restart the game application.

Im not sure about CloneDVD, but it may have a setting for "hide CD-R Media" as well, only thing I can suggest is to uninstall CloneDVD and see if it works with it not installed, if it does then the problem was CloneDVD/CD

Then im confused as to what programs you were looking for? And if the origional CD is not working, I would contact support for the game. I was assuming you were trying to play from a backup image. Not much we can do about the game not working at all even from the origional cd/dvd.
