Dvd burning.

Ok I know this isnt gaming help but its a problem bugging me.

Im using Nero to burn dvds and I am getting about a 1 second audio lag when I do.

The files are in avi. I suspect I need to convert them to mpeg, would this help?

If so is there any picture quality loss? And does it take long?

Anyone know a good converter? If this is the problem of course.

What speed are you burning at? For Videos and Music you should burn at the slowerst speed your drive can burn.

Nero has a plugin to allow conversion from AVI to MPEG. I think it may be payware however.

You can however try some free tools Tmpgenc comes in a free version and payware version
