Okay, I'm in a bit of a kerfuffle.

I bought FM2005 when it first came out, not realising that the copy I purchased from a large shopping chain was one of the many pirate copies leaked onto shop shelves, but the game worked OK and everytime I updated it all I had t o do was use Deamon Tools and it continued to work fine.

I then inherited my Dad's old laptop, which is only Windows 98. I wanted to put FM2005 onto this but I couldn't find the disk, and still can't.

What I tried to do was archive the whole Sports Interactive folder then burn it onto a CD then load it into the laptop. I used a No-CD Crack on the laptop and the game loaded up fine. I went to start a new game and after I selected the leagues I wanted to load up and error message popped up when the game had actually begun to load the new game. It was the old Windows 98 error favourite: "This program has performed an illegal operation".

Can anyone help me on how to get this game working on the laptop. I don't want to buy the game again for two reasons:
1. I've already paid for the game
2. FM2006 is out soon.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated. :)

sorry, cannot help. Warez is warez regardless. You will need to contact the developer and report where you bought the game as to help stop the illegal activity.

You will need to buy the game from an authorized legit dealer. But the devs may work out a deal with you for reporting the pirate sales location.

Thread Locked.
