Hello to everyone. I have just joined in the hope that some kind people can help a very frustrated mum! My daughters have the folowing games on their laptops, sims 2, sims 2 festive fun, sims 2 family fun, sims2 seasons, sims 2 celebrations and H&M fashion. Now, before yesterday for some reason the games woudn't work unless I run H&M fashion?? I always got a message asking for this disk and that the sims 2 was out of date?. However all the games ran very well.
I have just bought seasons and celebrations and now it asks for seasons every time they want to play any of the other games. I tried to install in a different order, run cleaner, virus etc updated all the disks, but it still does this? They also have very good laptops so I am at a loss.

This means that they have to share the disks, believe you me, this is not a pretty site! My question is, why? Despite having all these disks, they cannot use them now. I am prepared to buy 2 of everything if I have to, but would rather not as they then have more variety.
I really would appreciate any help, but please remember that I know very little about these games, so please talk slowly:o

Please read carefully the EULA for the games. It's stated clearly that it's one copy per machine. So, I'm afraid youl'll have to buy a second set of discs.

I'm going to update in one or two days the FAQ for Sims2. The Stuff packs are looking for the latest expansion and they will use the latest executable file (in this case Season's).

This is where my FAQ is hosted for now:

I'm sorry about the fact that you will be forced to buy another set. But we follow the rules, just like everyone else.

The patches mentioned in the FAQ can be found either on EA's official site (though that site is a bigger mess than our own), either at www.dlh.net.
