emperor: rise of the middle kingdom help

I installed Emperor, the crack and the no-cd file, and everything seems to be working fine but when I try to start the game nothing happens. Anyone have any tips for me?

Did you use the English or German game fix, please make sure it matches your game version.

Hello,
I'm having problems with saving/loading games. Every time I try saving or loading a game, the game crashes, even when the game is saving my game automatically.
I'm using the english patch with the english game. It's not the first time I've installed the game so I've copied my saved games files to the "save" folder of the game.

Are you sure that you are using the right crack?

There is also a possibility that the patch to require a new game (STALKER patches were notorious for invalidating your previous gamesaves, and that's just an example).
Also some cracks are incompatible with some driver versions(only I know how many times, I've had that problems with the older NFS games cracks).
So try updating the video and the sound drivers and maybe even DirectX.
If you play on Vista make sure you have UAC disabled and administrative rights. Also try using the exe in XP compatibility mode.
