How to make No-cd work

I want to run DiabloII Civ III and GTA III withoutchanging discs. Ive downloaded some files which claim to enable this but They dont seem to work. There is no note of where to put the file so I tried it from the desktop and just unzipped and ran the executable but so far its not working.

I'm very new to this. I'm asking for very basic help please

You need to extract the files using a file archiver, such as WinZip, WinRAR, WinAce etc. You need to extract the exe file (along with any other files where appropriate) to the games directory/folder (where you installed the game, usually C:/Program Files/Games Name etc.) and replace any of the original game files with the No-CD ones.

The .nfo file included with most No-CD patches/Game Fixes contains info about the Game Fix, you can read this with an nfo viewer, or just use NotePad or Microsoft Word to view it.
