Do you have CloneCD installed? If so, at the end of the first post of the thread I posted below read the section about CloneCd.

tks i do not have clone cd but there are two points i must check

Switching your Virtual Drives to a lower drive letter, for instance, making your REAL drive something like drive J and making Daemon-Tools have drive D or E,

and

We notice Bus and MiniPort drive name options. We want to change these option because in their default setting they are easily identified by protections such a SecuROM

....do you think one of those two can cause the problem?

possibly, but I play this game as well with my drives on higher letters so I dont think that is it.

Do you have Alcohol 120% installed, I believe Alcohol 120% also has a setting somewhere for hide cd type.

Under File > Options > Emulation

uncheck the checkbox for "Ingore Media Type"

If you have that installed that is.

Also if you have not already, make sure to do the other options in the guide I posted for denying read access to the registry.

http://www.gamefileforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107

Mount the game you want to play, then Go into your registry to this location.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices]

Right click the section and choose persmissions.

Click on Administrator, then click DENY for READ ACCESS (only read access not full control)

This helps prevent/remove blacklisting.

There are many other options and methods posted there as well you may want to try if you have not already.

Here is another MiniDisc you may want to try as well. Make sure to turn on "All Emulation" options in Daemon-Tools.

tks again
but not even this work
i've disabled alcohol 120% and configurated the registry following yours suggestion but always the same message
last hope is tryng the following

Goto microsofts site, in their search box (upper right) type in subinacl.exe
Download and install it.
This program is for Win2K, XP and 2K3 only... sorry 9x ME users...
Next after you install it, right click on your desktop and choose New > Shortcut
It will ask for the location of the item
paste this in
"C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\subinacl.exe" /keyreg "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\Devicemap\SCSI\SCSI Port 2" /deny=administrators=r

the number 2 is the 000x folder of the emulation drive you are wanting to use, if you have 2 then make 2 shortcuts and do the same for the other.

Cool, you may not have had to remove Alcohol 120% however, possibly there is a setting in the Emulation section that may have been the problem.

Such as the Hide CD-R function, can always disable all of the Alcohol 120% extra features and see if it was just a setting. I run the game as well, and have Alcohol 120%, Daemon-Tools, Clone-CD installed and running. So must be a setting.

Of course with every system being different and reacting to software, drivers, ect,, differently, hard to say, it could very well be Alcohol being installed who know 0o :P

Anyhow, glad you got it running.
