I have got this trainer file size 825KB and it is an exe file that needs installing.
Does anybody know why this is and what it installs as I am concerned that it will change something in the game or possibly be something more malicious.

Neil.

if you are afraid that it may be something "malicious" try scanning it with a virus scanner. If it does not detect anything, you can take a chance and install it, then immediately do a scan after install, and another scan of your system after reboot.

But if you are that afraid, then I would say delete it and don't install it.

Most likely it installs because it may be a program that requires certain dll's to run and in order to ensure the trainer works properly the author created it in an installer to install the required files to their proper places. (ex. some vb applications) this is sometimes done since not all users install VB runtime and other runtime files.
