Alright, i know version 1.11 came out about a month and a half ago, wasntr sure how long ago 1.11b was put out. How long do cracks usually take? a week or something?

sometimes can appear in a few days, sometimes a week or even month. Depends really on who is working on fixing the files for the game and how difficult the protection.

Use WinRar (from http://www.rarsoft.com) and extract the files included in the .rar archive to the games directory/folder (where you installed the game) replacing the original exe file.

sory to bother u again but i found 2 files that were confusing:

DIABLO 2: LORD OF DESTRUCTION v1.11b [ENGLISH] NO-CD/FIXED EXE (1.05MB)
or

DIABLO 2: LORD OF DESTRUCTION v1.11b [ENGLISH] SINGLE PLAYER/MULTIPLAYER NO-CD/FIXED EXE (17.4KB)

which do i choose, they r both v1.11b

The second one will allow you to play online Multiplayer with the No-CD patch, the first one will allow you to play single player only.

No it shouldn't depending on what media needs to be read off the CD, in some cases necessary files are read off the CD, and in this case the files need to be copied to the games folder. Often this can fix the problem of the game running slow, or "flickering". More than often though the problem is associated with the graphics card.

i downloaded the no-cd patch, i extracted the diablo.exe files into my diablo II folder
then i copies the music mpg and video mpg from my game CD to my diablo II folder.

The game loaded without the cd, but i did somethin wrong with they patch

what am i missing?

You need to update the game to the same version of the No-CD patch, with the official patch update, which is v1.11b, then you use the No-CD patch. The No-CD patch version MUST match the game version.

You would think that you would learn, we do not support warez here, and we will not help you, signing up under a new username will not resolve this issue. If you wan't to request files for warez, go somewhere else and do so, we do not wan't anything to do with such material.

Awesome, being so long since I played the game I forgot about this "hack" that enables D2 to run w/o a cd, including online play. http://d2loader.blizzsector.net/

D2Loader, its a legit program, same purpose as a "no cd patch" but (originally) from the same people that made D2Hackit and all.

thats not too difficult... if u have the original LOD CD that is..

use Alcohol 120% to make a Image and mount that image with Daemon tools... tadaa! u can play :D
there are also programs that make Mini images on the net.... seen some on Gamecopyworld.com i think... just have 2 look there i guess :)

The Bnet patches may not wok anymore, depending on whether the servers accept the modified exe now or not.

Sorry to bother you, I had original CD-s and lost them somewhere, so I dl from internet whole game and now I wanted to play multiplayer i got message (something like) : The serial key you entered was not meant for this product, please reinstall with correct serial key...

I installed the game with serial key 0000-0000-0000-0000.. because I don't can't find original and it accepted this code. Can you please tell me how can I play online? Should I look for someother serial key or what?

Does anyone have a no-cd patch that is not a modified .exe file? I do not want a modified exe because I own the game so I would like to play on bnet. I have a cd image that I use for warcraft 3 (which I also own) which I can play online with. The reason that I ask this is because my laptop does not have a cd drive and I would like to play on it.

Use the mini-image...Works fine, you just have to keep it in DT 4.10while playing. The mini-image doesn't modify any file in the game so it's perfect for playing online.

I haven't been able to find one. I have one for warcraft, but I can't get one for diablo 2 LOD.

if you have access to another machine that has an optical drive, you can create your own image with Alcohol 120% (trial version works fine) and Daemon Tools (freeware), I don't know about making a mini-image, since the disc uses SecuROM 4.xx and not SafeDisc, but if you have HDD space for a full image, the method below should work fine.

With your LoD disc in the optical drive, launch Alcohol and choose Image Making Wizard. Check boxes for "Skip Reading Errors"; "Read Sub-Channel Data from current disc"; "Data Position Measurement (Precision: High)". I selected 12x for DPM on the next screen, but YMMV. If it doesn't work, try a slower speed. Accept defaults for everything else.

Copy newly created .mds image (mine is 657.55 MB) to laptop via thumb drive or network. Download and install Daemon Tools on your laptop to mount the image.

Worked like a champ for me, logged on to Bnet w/no modified .exe required! Hope this works for you, too!

You can't! The guy is talking about making a full image of the original LOD CD. Asking for that it's not allowed by the forum rules.
Use your original LOD CD to make such a image (CloneCD or Alcohol120% should be the programs that you want to use).

are you sure the game is fully updated and you put the fixed exe. in the right place
if so then you might try reinstallying
or it might just be diablo it's known too pop up with anoying little errors from time too time trying it again wont hurt

Hi all, its my first post here - so be nice!

My brother has the original collection of D1 & D2 cd's, but has managed to put a fairly hefty scratch in the D2 play disc - which no longer works.

This week he went and purchased a special edition "Battle Chest" box set (D2 install/play/cinematics discs v1.03, and the original diablo game disc). He asked me to make backup copies for him so that he could put the originals into safe storage.

I tried using nero burner for the play disc, but when we did a test run it got knocked back (asked to insert the game disc). :(

I'm not too sure whether my brother is really into the online gameplay, but is there any way i can make a set of backup copies for him? I havent had much experience backing up stuff like this, but if someone can point me in the direction of the right program to do the job, i'm more than capable of doing the rest!!

Use CloneCD. At the settings select Protected game. It should be able to make a 1:1 copy. That small program is perfect for backing up older games.
For newer games you need Alcohol 120%.

hehe so the 1.11b doesn't work anymore online eh haha theres that new patch =[ ..just out of curiousity do you have a estimate when the new 1.12a patch for multiplayer will come out? i know the single player one is out at the moment. thanks :D
