Rome Total War no CD fix

I downloaded the file that it said (v1.5) but I don't know what to do with it now that it is downloaded? Also, is it a problem that my game is a dvd not a cd- does that mean that i have the wrong file?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

First, answer to my little question: is this the Gold edtion? The one with Barbarian Invasions and Alexander included?
Disregard the question. The only DVD version is as I 've suspected the Gold Edition.
Install RTW
Install patch 1.3 for your version(english, spanish, german, italian or french)
Install patch 1.5 (it's international so it's not necessary to be specific like v1.3)
Backup the exe file, if you want to install Barbarian Invasions at a later date(create a folder and copy the exe there)
Replace the exe with the one in the crack archive(overwrite file)
Now I'm gonna detail the further procedures if you want to install the expansions (Barbarian Invasion and Alexander):
Put back the original exe file for RTW
Install Barbarian Invasion
Install patch 1.6(backup exe for both RTW and BI(RomeTW.exe and RomeTW-BI.exe)
Install Alexander
Apply crack 1.6 for RTW and RTW:BI and the crack for Alexander
