Assasin's creed is not released yet. But it will in 2 days.
The illegal version that is floating over the net, it is said that crashes. And obviously there is no way this leaked version to be final.
I have pre-order it at www.e-shop.gr
http://www.e-shop.gr/show_main.phtml?id=PCG.01736
(PCG.01736) ASSASSIN'S CREED *11/04/2008* 44.90 €
So, I will wait till 11/04/2008 to get my retail box. I can't wait.

The US gets this on April, 8th. Lucky bastards. But both the japanese and the americans are ignoring the EU and the australian markets. But the EU developpers are releasing the games first in EU and then in the US(again the big loser is the australian market). Still, I can't call it even, as the big companies are US located(most of them anyway).
I've seen the latest products from Ubi and I'm less than thrilled. R6 Vegas 2 is so dumbed down. DMOMM: Elements and Assassin Creed managed to be almost unplayable on XBox 360(they were that full of bugs). Not gonna pick up any of those titles on the PC(though my little bro, will surely do just that).
I'm more of an dinosaur: I loved the Ultima, Might & Magic and Wizardry series(some of those I've played them on SNES, others on PC). But Ubi did to the M&M license is far worse than what New World Computing did in HOMM4 or M&M9.
And Assassin Creed with its pretention to be a stealth game. But Ubi managed to kill the Splinter Cell idea(i loved the first one, hated the rest), bought some interesting liceneses(5 star general series, Warlords series) and just put those aside. Why bother buying something you don't use? Or you use that IP so bad that you alienate the strong fanbase and thin it to the point that you would start to point again towards piracy and not to the own yard when you get poor sales....Did you managed to get any help on the Ubi forums when you' ve had a problem with your legit, bought copy? I've seen people poorly treated on their boards, as they weren't the paying customers. They have moderators fitted to be in kindergarden, not there. But that's the trend to the most big companies. We should put up, though we pay for their unfinished products. And lately we should put up with ingame advertising. Like TV, internet and mail and whatever other form of advertising cross your mind it's not enough. I don't ask for posh games, with uber graphics. I'm more interested in gameplay and story and atmosphere and getting a good feeling. I don't want to finish a game in 4-5 hours, because the kids today have the attention span of a newborn.
P.S.: that's me ranting towards the gaming industry, where no one is doing games anymore, but cutscenes and cinematics.
P.P.S. : Assassin Creed it's not released yet, so ask again in week or two, or a month...

BUY THE GAME WHEN IT IS RELEASED.
We do not support illegal crap here. Not sure where the confusion comes from, oh wait, from not reading the rules.
