Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:
ATIŽ RADEONŽ 8500/9000/X families
NVIDIAŽ GeForce™ 3/4/FX/6 families (GeForce 4 MX not supported)
As you can see the onboard video cards are not supported. That goes for a lot of games released in the past years. You have a decent system, so I can recommend a cheap Nvidia 9600 or 8800GTS wit 512Mb/1gb video memory. They are around 150-200US$. The 9600 can be found even cheaper at around 130US$. The onboard video cards are not an option as they are way behind. Most of them are just cheap solutions, good only for office work or watching movies. Otherwise(gaming wise), those cards are plainly bad. Most of gamedeveloppers gave up on the onboard videocards couple of years ago. So only a few new games are working on those(Sims Stories Series are some of those few, but not Sims2 series)

Wouldn't you wish that PC's where universal, if only technology companies would work together ;)

Well, it's gonna happen someday: one big happy united corporative planet. Hopefully I won't be around to see it.:D

As I live in India the GPu 9600 Gt is more 220$ ,and 230 for 8800 GT ,And by the way I have played Farcry in this Onboard ,so guys what is the reason as Shader Model 2.0 is playable but mot Shader Model 1.1 as for splinter Cellseries, and if SM1.1 ois not supportable, than Todays Gpus having SM3.0,4.0and also 4.1 support I think will not sSupport Past Shader Models like 1.1,or will it support What do you think guys, help me out, And cna beside gaming This Geforce card be used for #d Graphics programming like Autocad,Maya, etc and also Game programming .
Thanks

New cards do support older shaders, that is not the problem.
The problem is the GAME itself (Chaos Theory) Uses and Requires shaders 2.0 (not 1.1)
Example, both GFX cards I own support Shaders 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0
(BFG Geforce 7600 GS OC 512 AGP and a Diamond Viper ATI X1950 Pro 512MB AGP)
If you have a card that supports 2.0, then it will support 1.1 as well, if you have one that supports 3.0, then it will support 2.0 and 1.1 as well.
Shaders work a bit different than OS's for example, Shaders don't really "change" so to speak, more or less each revision brings "new features" So if you look at it, Shaders 3.0 for example will have the same instructions as shaders 2.0 only it will have a few more features that are new that a game may require in order to run properly.
A good way to observe this is if your doing some modding on some games such as X3 or other new game where you can obtain the shader packages, you can get a shader SDK such as the one from nVidia and take a look at the shaders and the version, you will see they are very similar, only one will have other features the older one does not have.

Thanks friend
By the way than how come FarCry Run on m,y PC after applying the Patch 1.3 of Farcry and it also uses Shader Model 2.0,and Ubisoft is the same Publisher.
Splinter Cell More Complex than FarCry waht do you say,
But,if I am not wrong than I have heared that Shader Model 1.1 is unsupportable to its new Versions2.0,3.0 ,not that 2.0 is unsupported to 3.0 or 4.0 ,its a exception case .

It is up to the developer to add support for older shaders to a game, they either will or wont. Depends on demand as well as whether or not it is in their interest to due to money.
