Greetings All!

Noob member here! :D

Okay, I know there are quite a few posts related to Sims 2 University bugs; but I think mine is kind of unique...

I installed Sims 2 and the University expansion both from original discs. I want to use a NO-CD fix so I can preserve my discs. I've tried loading a bunch of different mini-images with Daemon Tools and keep having the same problem, which is...

The game starts fine, shows the initial splash screen, then goes through the opening video with all the sims acting silly. However, right when the girl jumps in the pool and the main Sims 2 screen is supposed to come up, the game freezes and an error message pops up. It doesn't say anything, just has a red "X" and an "OK" button. When I press the button, the game crashes back to Windows. Any idea what is causing this and can it be fixed?

I have a feeling that maybe there are some .dll files that I need to add and/or delete, but I don't know which ones. Also, is there a working "fixed .exe" file I can use instead of the mini-images?

Thanks in advance!

You might try the Speed Load Patch, it will remove the origional movie files (backups are made)

It replaces them with a blank movie file basically, which will instantly skip the video intros.

Lemme know if it helps..
