Don't have the game, so unsure, however, like most games, you can try uninstalling any Video Codecs you may have installed on your system such as Divx, XVid, ect..

Sometimes a bad install of Codecs can cause weird behavior in games.

As far as I can see your system meets the "minimum requirements" for the game, though 256MB Ram and Duron are kinda cuttin the specs down even more

(recommend getting another 512 for total of 768 asap it will greatly improve your systems performance for many things, not just games)

but I would start by removing codecs then rebooting. Also, you may want to insert blank videos in place of the intro videos for the game (again I do not have the game) but you can download a blank avi file I made

http://rapidshare.de/files/4702224/new_blank.rar.html

Just find what videos are the intro videos for the game (usually an easy guess by their names) then rename them to something like videoname1, videoname2 ect..

Then place a copy of the blank video in the folder and name it the same as the origional file. This is a 1 frame blank so no video is ever played, and should load the game almost instantly.

Let me know if this helps. (not all games are easily edited to have blanks btw) since I do not have this one I am unsure where the videos are or even what format they are in.

Change the extension to whatever type you game has, .wmv, .avi ect. for example.
