Removing copy protection requires knowledge in Programming as well as knowledge in debugging, unwrapping, reverse engineering, etc...

Programs such as Alcohol 120%, etc.. do not remove copy protection, they can only try to copy the protection and store it in the image exactly as it is found on the CD/DVD which in many cases can be emulated using virtual drive software such as Daemon-Tools. Some cases you may also need to select the "RMPS" option when making the copy as well as when trying to play it with the image.
