The war.exe and worldedit.exe files are the ones that need to get extracted to your games directory/folder (replacing the original exe files) then hoodlum.nfo is the file which contains info on the release. You MUST replace the original exe file(s) with the No-CD ones.

I just downloaded the no-cd fix for warcraft frozen throne and the campaign has been working fine but everytime i try to access battlenet, it tells me "Unable to validate game version. Please reconncect to Battle.net, or apply the game patch manually."

So then I downloaded the latest patch from their website but it says i have a newer version applied and the patch is not needed. Any advice?

You are meant to install the patch update Before you use the No-CD patch, my suggestion would be to uninstall the game, then reinstall it, update with the official patch update to the latest version, then use the corresponding No-CD patch to match the version.

Because it has only just come out in the last few days, the No-CD patch does not come out as soon as the official patch update has, it depends on the groups. Have patience.

This one worked for me.. Just copy the two crackfiles into your Warcraft III map..


Before you copy the crackfiles into your WarCraft III map, you should make a copy of your original war.exe file and rename it f.ex. war_org.
Next time you have to update WarCraft, you just delete the crackfiles first, then rename your original war.exe back to war .. Then you can put your WarCraft Frozen Zone cd into your computer and update on battlenet..

I burned it onto the disk, installed it, updated to 1.19b and THEN applied Razor's crack. The game crashes after the opening movie, and the error message says:
"0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B: 0306A6A8
The instruction at '0306A6A8' referenced memory at 0306A6A8
The memory could not be 'read'"

Can anyone make sense of an error like that? I've burned, updated and installed cracks a million times before - i don't think i did anything wrong.

Who said anything about warez, he said he burned his with the "crack" to a cd and installed it from there, does not mean its a warez copy. As long as he does not tell me it is, then I will respond :)

He only said "Razors" crack, Razors NOCD fix can be downloaded seperate from the actual game, so again, does not mean its a pirate copy.

put the crack in the game directory but backup the original exe. you never know so if you don't know where the game directory is then just rightclick the warcraft 3 icon on your desktop and choose properties and just click find target.

I finally downloaded the 50mb standalone patch. I then realized there is no cracks for this version for no cd.

This is what I did to get it working.

Firstly I had to reinstall my wc3+tft because it was stating the 1.20d patch was older than my 1.20c.

Once that was done, I installed the 1.20d patch
Then I used my old WARCRAFT.3.V1.20C.ENG.HELLKILLER.NOCD.ZIP available from this website I think. And renamed the war3.exe (the non cracked one), to war3.120c and extracted the war3.exe file from the hellkiller nocd zip. Logged in now and about to play a game of DOTA! Enjoy people. Oh the no cd for 1.20c was from megagames.com... I think there is a .20d patch in this site atm, but not sure if its battle.net working. The one I used (THANKS HELLKILLER!) is letting me connect to battle.net

STEPS:
1. Download standalone warcraft 1.20d patch. Install it, or if patching error occurs, reinstall warcraft 3 (I hope you have ur backups)

2. Go to megagames.com and download the WARCRAFT.3.V1.20C.ENG.HELLKILLER.NOCD.ZIP from the game fixes under W for warcraft 3 TFT.

3. Make sure your war3 is updated with the 1.20d patch and the war3.exe file is the original one that has been updated. (not part of a no-cd crack file)

4. Rename the war3.exe file to war3.120c (back up your war3.exe if you wish also, though the war3.120c file will be the exact same)

5. Unzip the war3.exe file from the no-cd crack and place it in your warcraft 3 directory.

6. run the game, connect to battle.net and PLAY!

Hey, makivelli here...I'm new to the forums. I recently downloaded several different fixed .exe files for warcraft III v 1.14. I followed the instructions and replaced the original .exe files with the new ones...now I get a message saying "the ordinal 570 could not be located in the dynamic link library storm.dll" , then after clicking ok, it gives the "Warcraft III failed to run, Please make sure your Warcraft disc is blah blah blah ...any ideas how to fix this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums :) Does your game version match that of the No-CD? Have you tried using all the No-CD patches for that version, and also please read the .nfo for any further instructions.

Actually, I found out the simplest way to play Warcraft III with a mini-image and you can play online. First, (if you dont already have it,) get Alcohol 120%'s most updated version, which you can get at their website. Use the Image Making tool to create an image. If you have Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, then you can still use the Reign of Chaos disk to play it. Otherwise, put your Reign of Chaos disk into ur drive, select which drive it is on Alcohol 120%, and set it to 1x the normal speed, which is the lowest, Dont mess with anything else. Watch carefully though while its copying, and when its near 5 MB, cancel the image making procedure and keep the files. Its okay if it goes a little over 5 MB, my image size is 6.8 and it works fine. Copy the files somewhere safe, and you can use Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% to mount the image, and still be able to play the updates and play online.

This Fixed exe/ No CD patch is supposed to contain Warcraft 3 v1.20e, all of the tags say so, but when it is actually booted up it contains v1.20d. I just thought I would bring this to someones attention because its misrepresenting the file and really it is a frustrating problem.

Also for BNet play, use the Virtual game fix. Make sure your game version matches that of the game fix.

If you are trying to update your game with patch update and you are using a game fix, you must copy your original exe back to allow the patcher to update the exe.

i can get into US East with the previous working fix but i cant get into US West. something happened a few hours ago and booted everyone from US West server. then the fix wouldnt work.

Ye i got same problem and crack was working just yesterday (12.09) and today somehow it doesnt work...
i think bnet made some chances againts illegal players/program coz Stealthbot (bot program for wc3 d2 etc) got same problems and are now fixing it.

You are sure your war3.exe is the original one and not a game fix?

Try running war3.exe instead of the loader, if you don't get a message saying you need the CD then your using a game fix.

The war3.exe needs to be the original 1.20e, not a game fix.

The package comes with the original, just rename war3.120e.exe to war3.exe, overwrite it and it should work.

If however, your war3.exe is in fact the original, try waiting a couple seconds before connecting to Battle.net, shouldn't take more than 5 seconds.

All files from the package should be unpacked to your WarCraft III directory and you should be running the .bat file (War3LoaderRoC.bat or War3LoaderTFT.bat) to run the game.

Let me know if that works.

Hm, okay.

Are you running Windows XP and do you have Administrator priviledges?

Just to make sure, you are running "War3LoaderRoC.bat" or "War3LoaderTFT.bat" and you still get the validate error, right?

Read the "War3Loader.120e.txt" that comes with the package for install and un-install instructions for the following.

Try un-installing the package, make sure you only have retail exe's in your WarCraft III folder. Install it again and just to be extra sure rename the "war3.120e.exe" to "war3.exe" and overwrite it. Run either "War3LoaderRoC.bat" or "War3LoaderTFT.bat" and without pressing or clicking anything, wait for it to load.

For trouble shooting: If you run "war3.exe" directly after it's all installed, it should ask you for the CD to play, if it doesn't ask for the CD then the "war3.exe" is a gamefix.

Make sure you don't have the CD in your drives.

First try running the loader directly from the folder and if it works, then create a shortcut for the loader.

Well hope this can help fix your problem, because as I said, it works perfectly for me.

Yeah wasn't quite sure if it ran on the older Windows or not, didn't think so, so if that's what your running and it doesn't work, then my thoughts were right.

In anycase, yes, it renames just like what killergame said, killergame got it from someone who also got it from someone. I have no idea who actually came up with the method, i've seen the method given in different places by different people.

But, you don't have to do the renaming yourself, which is the whole purpose of this loader.

It's simple and works perfect for me and hope others who can use it find it better than manually renaming each time they load WarCraft III.

in bat files the command execute line after line, so we don't need labels and goto labels

The ping is for delaying the batch file so it gives enough time for the game to load or else it would ask for the CD because it would execute to fast for the gamefix to load first.

The GoTo's are just simply for organization, not necessary no.

Edit: The ping is set for ping "War3LoaderTFT" for example, so it won't give you an actual reponse back; allowing for a standard time delay.

Both are doing pretty much the same exact thing, the only difference being that the hellkiller version is just making a query to find where the game is installed and cd'in itself (changing directories) to ensure it is running in the games install folder (this way it can be run from anywhere including running the batch from the desktop)

So, take your pick ;)

Technically, bat and cmd are the same, bat (batch) files are common on dos based operating system such as Windows. cmd (command) was introduced on a shell script based OS such as OS/2 and NT4. But, technically they run the same. More extensively for their originating OS, there are other commands on cmd vs bat that are only avail via that OS, same when comparing bat to cmd. There is no real difference in behavior, they both act as a sorta executable able to run multiple commands from within a shell/dos environment. On newer OS's such as 2000, XP, ect.. cmd is probably going to be a preferred exntension, while on older OS's such as 95/98 and ME, bat will work on them. Some of it due to the cmd extension being an extension to shell and has more features and functions available that were not on older OS's. Making it a bit more robust for modern use and administration purposes such as alot of IT's use for everyday running of servers and maintnance.

For a better example of some more extension to cmd and shell, look at Windows PowerShell (Formerly Monad) from Microshaft.

I have updated my loader, check out the first post of this thread for the changes.

My first loader I made real quick because I wanted to play but there was no way I would rename those files back and forth each time I load Warcraft III without my CD. So I made a simple batch file to do the work for me and I shared it here.

I had some extra time so I re-made my loader completely and well, it's much better. There are no more batch files, allowing for an easier install because it will replace the default Warcraft III launchers so you can run Warcraft III like you would normally, from the default Warcraft III shortcuts.

Still, as far as I know, only works for Windows XP. I have not tested on the older Windows and won't. If someone wants to and let me know for sure, feel free.

For some reason I am not able to connect to BattleNet when I'm using that loader. It says:

Well I tried using the loader and I couldn't connect to US East only, it gave the same error message.

However, I used my CD and ran the game normally and tried to connect to US East and couldn't, it gave the same error message.

So I don't think it's anything loader related.

Is it just US East you can't connect to and get that message with?

This might be registry problem.Try to Reinstall the Game.The information for the realms,are stored into the registry.Maybe something is corrupted.

Sometimes Blizzard bans your ip for several reasons.The error message you get is: "Unable to connect to Battle.Net
You may be trying to connect to an invalid Battle.Net server. If you are using a modem, you may need to manually connect to the Internet before connecting to Battle.Net"

Sending-flooding chat channel in battlenet may cause this,or using programs like map hacks,which send bad packets.

This ban can last from 20 minutes to 72 hours....
If you change your ip you will be able to connect :)

If you get the same error message on all of the servers then perhaps your registry entry for the server list is wrong. Try Blizzard/Battle.net Support site for trouble shooting. Your IP could also be banned, try changing it first of all.

I'm not sure if re-installing fixes the registry or not, it should but i'm not sure, so do that trouble shooting for connection problems and it will probably help.

Oh and to the other guy, I was able to connect to US East but if I disconnect and try again I will get the same error again, if I keep trying to connect every couple minutes, I eventually get in. So its not that i'm banned from US East or anything, it seems to take a few tries for me. Only happens for US East as I said.

And if I need to I may make a loader for new versions of the game but hopefully I won't need to.

Later version of most protection cannot run from a MiniDisc, such as in this case with NeverWinter Nights 2, it uses SecuROM which these new versions read the disc from beginning to end as the protection reading patern is spanned across the entire disc. So, it wil be impossible to make a MiniDisc of this game.

Important Note on Patching for Mac Players: The file layout inside the
game folder is changed significantly by Patch 1.21. As a result, in order
to be able to install the Frozen Throne expansion from CD, you must
install Reign of Chaos first, then install Frozen Throne from CD, and then
patch to version 1.21, in that order. If you patch to v1.21 and then
attempt to install Frozen Throne after that, it will not install
correctly.

So Im trying to get onto bnet with the new 1.21a loader(which i dont understand why its 1.21a when the bnet version is 1.21) anyhow Im trying to get on it and it will not allow me to, it just give me the invalid thing. I replaced all the files that were in the 1.21azip and I tried to us the installer that comes in the zip and the installer doesnt work( i dont know if ts is used)

so if someone could give me a point in the direction of the solution that would be great.

You can download my BNetLoader for v1.20e (from GameBurnWorld.com) and copy the original worldedit.exe from the zip file. I think it's named something like worldedit.120eORG.exe so just copy it then rename and replace it. Which should allow you to patch.

Make sure you are running on either Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows Vista (RTM).

Make sure you have Administrator privileges.

Make sure you do not have AVG installed, if you do, uninstall AVG and install a different Anti-Virus, it should work then.

If you downloaded the v1.21a Loader before January 27th, re-download it and re-install it. Delete the old v1.21a Loader folder then follow the install instructions for the freshly downloaded one.

The reason it is called v1.21a is because that is the proper name for v1.21. If you download the patch from Blizzard Entertainment it will show the patch as v1.21a but they call it v1.21. 'a' is the first version of the new patch.


If you are getting "Error executing program!" that's AVG preventing it from running, uninstalling AVG and installing a different Anti-Virus will allow it to work. Or you can wait till AVG fixes the false positive which I have no idea when that could or even if it does happen.

K, I would be happy now if anyone could help me with this.. I installed everything, I got the loaders working etc etc.. then when I push "Battle.net"
it just first say "the cd key is not providing~" , then after I push again it says "you may be trying connect to an invalid battle.net, etc" .. so any ideas of how to fix it? =P or do I need a working cd key? then I dont get the point in this battlenet crack ^^

There is a valid game exe check when connecting to Battle.net, the loaders will bypass that check. It does not bypass the CD-key check and no where in the .NFO does it say it will.

You need to purchase the game in order to play on the Battle.net servers.

Let me just point out the key part: "valid game exe check".
Not valid CD key check...

It uses a No-CD crack to load the game allowing you to play without a CD. If you use the No-CD crack alone without the loaders you will get a valid game exe check when connecting to Battle.net which will not allow you to go on Battle.net. The loaders bypass the "valid game exe check".

And people would use this if for many reasons and some include: losing CD's, scratched CD's and probably the most used is because they don't want to put the CD in everytime to play.

You tried connecting to Battle.net servers with an invalid CD-key and got either temporary IP-banned or permanently IP-banned by Battle.net. I'm pretty sure it's just temporary. Asia was the only one you didn't try with an invalid CD-key.

In any case, changing your IP will allow you to connect to the other realms.

If you have a dynamic IP then first try to turn off your modem, then power it back up again and see if you get a new IP. If not it may have to be turned off for a couple hours before your ISP gives you a new one.

If you have a router you should try releasing your current IP, or if you have the modem hooked directly to your computer then try releasing it on your computer and renewing it.

If you have a static IP then you have to call your ISP to get it changed.

There are other ways to change it though, you can find how through googling.

And no, your CD-key that you just bought will still work even though you cannot connect right now. As I said, it's just an IP thing not a CD-key thing.

Install it without windowed mode in the command line.

If you don't need any command lines, use the recommended option (2) on the first set of choices you get.

Run the Uninstall.exe and then Install.exe and select an option without windowed mode.

Command lines are for people who know what they do or need them so if you don't know just use the recommended option, without any command lines.

Okay figured out the problem with the Loader.

It works great for me, using Windows Vista. I couldn't test it on Windows XP so I assumed it worked on it as well, obviously not. I have fixed it and sent it in, check the site in a day or two and re-download it. The "Install.exe" will be dated Feburary 17th, 2007.

yes, I've completly removed the loader from the WC3 directory. I'm running on XP home edition (which might be the problem) and I do have admin privilege.

hello, i manage to get the loader to work and can connect to battle.net (stupid avg, had to completely uninstall it) but I want to play on pvpgn servers.
Normally you have to run the w3l.exe loader to do this, but this doesnt work.

No, it doesn't change to uninstall.exe

I wasn't using the previous loader version but I did this:

Downloaded it.
Replaced the updated files with the original version and then used that version to install the patch from bnet (which mean I could connect).

After doing that, I've tried your current version but with no success.

Could be Home Edition but I doubt it, there has to be something else you are running.

When i try connecting to battle.net on US West and US East it keeps saying that i have an invalid battle.net server or w/e the same problem the other guy who posted here had, i didnt see a solution that worked for me, one of you stated if u are banned it could be for 20 mins-72 hours but i have been banned for about 2 weeks now and i am getting really frusterated, i can connect to europe fine but i dont like playing on that server... could i be permanently banned?? pls help

Well theres a few file checks, but if it's saying it can't find Warcraft III then try re-installing it. The rest should be pretty easy to figure out.

If you read all of what the other guys problem was, you would see I posted the answer to the problem already.

You tried to connect to Battle.net on US West and US East with an invalid CD-key. If your able to connect now with Europe then you changed your CD-key to a valid one but because you tried an invalid one your IP is banned from connecting to US West and US East.

You can connect to them again by changing your IP. Turn off your modem for 8 hours and it should get a new one when you turn it back on or contact your ISP. Search the internet, theres plenty of ways of changing your IP.
