Sims 2 problem

Hi well i bought the sims 2 yesterday iinstalled it and everything went well. But i cant open the game!! it tells me i need at leat 1mb of free disk space. Free up some space on your local disk and then relaunch. But the thing is that i do have 1mb available my ibookg4 is new. and i do meet the requirements. im just confused! i used to have windows xp and i just got my lap top. can anyone offer any help?? please! i love the sims!

How big is your hard drive? Free up as much space as possible.
