The sims 2 university help

OK i have a problem but i think i know what it is.. Ok I ahve installed University and at the end of the installiation and it says This is now gonna check to unsure you up to date and when i hit ok it says it can check succussfully check and now is terminateing. Ok i think the problem has to deal wiht a downloaded sims game i have called celebration. But i have tryied to uninstall it and the uninstaller wasnt in the torrent file. ok So now is there a way aroudn this message and or a way to uninstall celebration al together. And alos i have Opend for buisness installed and works perfectly. Help!!!!!!

Come on dudes help me out here. Cuz once i get home from vacation ima do a full system restore and i dont want to. But it will make it work ima do it.
