Hi. My son has these 2 games Madagascar (activision) and Scooby Doo the Glowing Bugman and I decided to try and make backup since I'm sick to death of him ruining them.

Anyway, I used alcohol 120 and made 2 successful (almost) copies of each game.
When I put my disc in to test it, the end result is same on both...it says please insert your cd.

Now on scooby doo it actually installs the game, but when i hit play, then click on his name....it says please insert your cd.

On madagascar, it won't even let me install. After I click the 'I agree to these terms'......a little window pops up saying please insert CD.

I was wondering if the problem has to do with copy protection?

I downloaded a thing called copy protection detective and scanned both original cd's but it came back with unknown, so not sure if I did something wrong here.

you would need to scan the exe for which type of copy protection the games are use
good list of protection scanners

ProtectionID is a good scanner

than select the datatype in alcohol which matches the type of protection the scanner detected
