heya - I download the file for Dungeon Siege 2 so I wouldnt have to keep the CD in the drive to play the game and I replaced the exe file with the downloaded one as usual, and it worked - I could play without the CD in the drive - but the saved game is gone :( so I had to replace the original exe and the saved game was back again.
Im not too surprised, this is microsoft we are dealing with and I am sure they worked hard to prevent folks from creating a working no/cd file, but if anyone has any info if anyone is working on another no/cd file that will allow keeping of the saved game then please let me know.
I guess its not a big deal for me cause I can just leave the disk in the drive cause this is the only game I am playing right now that needs the CD, but I wouldnt mind being able to put the CD away in its box.
Keep up the good work guys :)

Are you sure you used the right version? And if you used the v2.1 No-CD patch, did you update your game with the official patch update BEFORE you copied the No-CD exe over?

Guys, what version are we talking about? v1.0, or the lastest v2.1 patch update?

There is obviously something wrong with the v2.1 patch update and v2.1 No-CD patch, the v2.1 patch update only relates to multiplayer fixes and bugs, so if you don't play multiplayer, then I suggest not updating, until the problem is resolved.

Guess DEViANCE didn't check that matter.

So your v1.0 is having the same save game problems? Maybe the problem does not relate to the v2.1 patch update then?

TNT released a working No-CD: DUNGEON SIEGE 2 v2.0 [ENGLISH] NO-CD/FIXED EXE/WORKING SAVE GAMES (7.16MB)
It's for version 2.0 (v1.0 is the same as v2.0)
You can download it here: http://www.gameburnworld.com/gp/gamefixes/dungeonsiege2.shtml

Maybe one of you can help me:
I don't have the original ds2 .exe or discs anymore:o ,
I'm now trying to get broken world to run, but it tells me I need " the full version" of ds2 installed first.Any idea what that means?
I hadn't updated to v2.2, because i don't anymore have the original .exe , but I thought when I replace it with the nocd for v2.2 it would work.
Well, the ds2 game does say v2.2 ,but broken world still tells me I need the "full version".
Any solutions?

Buy the game again, you must own the cd's. not having them anymore voids your right to play it.
