Final Fantasy 8

I purchased the pc game Final Fantasy 8 for my computer but it does not work. It seems to install fine but when I click on the game to play the screen goes black, then I start task manager and it says the program is not responding. I have windows vista home premium with plenty of ram and hard drive and nivida graphics. Please help. :(

Be sure that this game supports Vista. And update your graphic drivers from this page (http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp).

you can try to lower the compatibilty of the game. go the the games exe file, right click properties go to the compatiblty tab tick the "run this program in compatibilty mode for" and try adjusting it until it works. (i had a simler issue this solved it for me however i was using xpso not sure if vista is the same) Good luck
